Rapid immunochromatographic test for the qualitative detection of D-Dimer in human whole blood and plasma samples as an aid in diagnosis of Disseminated Intravascular Coagulopathy (DIC), deep vein thrombosis (DVT) and pulmonary embolism (PE).
The test is performed by applying the whole blood, serum or plasma sample to the sample well of the cassette and observing the formation of colored lines. D-Dimer is detected by utilizing a combination of anti-D-Dimer antibody-coated particles and specific capture reagents. The sample migrates by capillary effect along the membrane. If present in the sample, D-Dimer reacts with anti-D-Dimer antibody coated particles and is captured by specific capture reagents coated in the test (T) region.
Test sensitivity: 99.9% (94.8% - 100.0%)*
Test specificity: 98.2% (96.4% - 99.3%)*
Overall Agreement: 98.4% (96.8% - 99.4%)*
* 95% Confidence Interval
